What to do if you couldn't sleep? - Hi everyone! Do you think that sleep at night is seriously important for your health? Someone said that night sleep can affect the brain performance. Less night sleeping we do, less concentration we have. The worst, stay up every day will decrease one's IQ. Unfortunately, people who are very busy even at night will more often stay up for their work. I've ever watched a Thailand Movie *but I forget its title* about a freelance graphic designer who had some projects with tight deadline. He almost were in front of monitor 24hours. He even could stay up for 7 days. And the last, he had an assigment that require a 12 days non-stop working, wirhout sleep. Can you imagine how bad he is once don't sleep around 12 days? And after he did that, he fell down in his room, alone, with creepy wound, and bleeding nose. Those are happened just after he didn't sleep for 12 days. Oh man!
We all need sleep. But sometimes it really hard to make ourselves
sleepy. Even I've tried hard by counting sheeps, writing memos, reading e-book,
but those all didn't work. Without realizing, the clock has shown 02.00 am. As
the result, I got really really really sleepy in the morning. Actually, I am a
bit confused of it. I need energy and concentration on day but I couldn't sleep
at night. Perhaps It's called insomnia, isn't it? I hope I can get out of this
problem soon.
So. I thought really hard and looked for suggestion on
google. Finally, I got some solutions before I got overwhelmed by this annoying
insomnia. Well, let's start find the thing that you and I should do when we
couldn't sleep at night:
1. Make your room clean and comfortable
I've ever slept in disorganized room, but I could sleep easily
because I was too tired meanwhile. Another time I slept in the same room in the
ordinary circumstance, I couldn't sleep at all. The bed was full of sand lifted
by footstep, dust, and fall of hair. The floor was flooding with trash every corner.
The stuffs in the room was like a sunken ship's inside. What a big mess! Hence
I think that we need a clean space to make us comfortable for sleeping. Importantly,
don't let cockroach run over your bed!
2. Drinking some milk or hot chocolate
Scientist found out that aroma of chocolate can help you relaxed.
While milk make you somwhow comfortable. Those two will work for sleeping stimulant.
However, milk and hot chocolate aren't good for you who do diet.
3. Darken your room!
As you decided to sleep, so you should turn off the lamp and
let it dark. Our body have its mechanism which the hormones will be active in
the lack of light condition. After that hormones worked, the cell in entire
body will regenerate well, thus we can be more healthful once wake up in the
morning. Try this!
4. Force yourself sleeping
A way to force yourself sleeping is closing you eyes. Even
you have'nt been sleepy yet, just close your eyes and pretend to sleep. As your
eyes closed, you can imagine something, in my case, I visualized my future home
design in every single detail. The more detail I imagined, the more I was
getting sleepy quickly.
Yap! That were the 4 tips for you who couldn't sleep easily,
